Electrical Controls Installation Technician (50% Nationwide Travel) (NC, Arden)

JOB PURPOSE:
Lead electrical contractors in field installation of electrical controls equipment for automation systems. Coordinate multi-month projects for all stages of installation through to commissioning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Coordinate execution of controls installation with selected subcontractor
- Co-ordinate preparation and delivery of installation materials (Cabling, devices etc) to site in a timely manner in accordance with the project schedule and in a sequence to maximize the efficiency of the installation team (Vertique and subcontractors).
- Manage all custom bracketry used by electrical and controls installation team and redesign to minimize parts variation, reduce cost, and increase ease of installation.
- Lend assistance in the controls engineering department or in the electromechanical assembly as needed when not on site.
- Assist in developing installation standards documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Experience in installation of electrical control systems for case picking and materials handling conveyor systems
- Must have previous supervisory experience managing a team of controls installation technicians.
- Experienced in Ethernet installation and troubleshooting.
- 1 year on the job experience as an Electrician
- Must have a working knowledge of NEC codes as well as UL508a requirements.
- Associates in Electrical Technology or Similar Field preferred.
- Must have a valid passport.
- Willing to be on job sites for up to two weeks consecutively.
